Troubleshoot

Something is not working.

The fixes below cover almost everything people run into. If none of them helps, Support explains how to reach us.

Reminders and alarms

Nothing is reaching you.

No reminders at all

Open the iOS Settings app, go to Notifications, find Procrastop, and check that Allow Notifications is on. If the permission was declined when the app first asked, this is the only place to turn it back on.

A task reminds you in the morning but not at the time you expected

That task has a day but no time. Open it, tap Set Time & Pressure, choose a time and tap Set.

Reminders arrive silently, or not while a Focus is on

Reminders tied to a due time are sent as Time Sensitive. In iOS Settings, Notifications, Procrastop, turn on Time Sensitive Notifications, and allow Procrastop in whichever Focus you use. Low Power Mode and a device that is switched off can also hold notifications back until later.

Nag Me! is missing from the pressure sheet

Nag Me! uses the system alarm feature, which exists on iPhones running iOS 26 or later. On earlier versions the sheet offers the other two levels instead.

The Nag Me! alarm is not sounding

Check that alarms are allowed for Procrastop in the iOS Settings app, and that the task is still set to Nag Me! on its Set Time & Pressure sheet. A task has one level of pressure at a time, so changing it to something else turns the alarm off.

Too many reminders, or too few

Settings, Notifications has a switch for each kind that arrives on its own. Pressure is per task, so if one task is louder than you want, open it and lower its level.

Your list

The list is not what you expected.

A task is in the wrong section

Sections are decided by how many days are left, and you set where the lines fall in Settings, Adjust Timeframes. Change the due date and the task refiles itself.

Tasks seem to be missing

Clear Mode keeps each section short. Tap the strip at the end of a section, or drag it down, to see the rest, or turn Clear Mode off in Settings. If the task was finished, it is in Settings, Task Management, Procrastopped Tasks, and tapping it puts it back.

The number on the app icon looks wrong

It counts the tasks due today and anything already overdue, so it is not the size of your whole list. It needs notification permission, and it has its own switch in Settings, Notifications.

Your data

Backups and recovery.

The backup email never arrived

Export hands the message to your own mail app, so check its drafts and outbox. If Mail is not set up on the iPhone, Procrastop passes the files to the iOS share sheet instead and you choose where they go.

Tasks disappeared after reinstalling the app

Everything lives on the device, so deleting Procrastop deletes its data with it. There is no cloud copy to restore from. If you have an iPhone backup from before, restoring that backup brings the app's data back with it.

Keep a copy before you make big changes. Settings, Task Management, Export emails you everything in your list, and takes a few seconds.
