Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026 · Applies to Procrastop version 1.0.0

The short version. Procrastop has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. Everything you write stays in the app's storage on your iPhone. The developer cannot see your tasks, and the app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.

Who this policy is from

Procrastop is made and published by Ziad Ismail, who is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. Questions go to ziadmohofficial@gmail.com.

What the app stores on your iPhone

All of the following is written to the app's own storage on your device, and only because you used a feature that needs it. None of it is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

  • Your tasks, so the app can show and remind you about them: titles, due dates, optional due times, any details you add, repeat settings, the level of pressure a task is set to, and whether a task is finished and when.
  • Your settings, so the app looks and behaves the way you left it: timeframe ranges, Clear Mode, notification and alarm preferences, chosen alert sounds, appearance and haptics.
  • A small amount of app bookkeeping: a count of how many tasks you have finished, used once to decide when to offer Apple's rating prompt; a record of which alarms are currently scheduled, so they can be kept in step with your tasks; and a note of whether you have seen the opening tour.

There is no analytics identifier, device identifier or advertising identifier anywhere in this data, and none of it is tied to a person.

What the app does not collect

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third party trackers and no code that sends your content anywhere. It does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, health data or calendar. There is no account to create and nothing to log in to, and the app makes no network requests of its own.

Notifications and alarms

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone. Nothing is sent through a push server, so no remote service learns what your tasks are called or when they are due.

Nag Me! uses the iOS alarm system so an urgent task can sound at its due time even in silent mode. That also runs entirely on your device. Notifications and alarms each ask your permission first, and you can withdraw either at any time in the iOS Settings app. Declining them does not stop the rest of the app from working.

Purchases, tips and the App Store

Procrastop is bought from the App Store, and it also offers optional tips as In-App Purchases. Those tips are voluntary and unlock nothing: the app behaves identically whether or not you ever send one.

Apple handles every transaction. Your payment details go to Apple, never to this app or to the developer, and the app does not receive or store your card details, billing address or Apple Account information. The developer receives only the aggregate sales reports Apple provides in App Store Connect, which do not identify individual customers. Apple's own privacy policy governs that part.

Settings can also open Apple's rating prompt or the App Store review page. Both are handled by Apple, and the app is not told whether you rated it or what you wrote.

Exporting your own data

Settings, Task Management, Export writes a copy of your tasks to a temporary file on the device and attaches it to an email addressed to you. This only happens when you ask for it, the message is composed in your own mail app, and you decide whether to send it and to whom. If Mail is not set up on the device, the files are handed to the iOS share sheet instead, and again you choose where they go. The developer does not receive a copy. Once an export leaves the app, it is covered by whatever service you sent it to, not by this policy.

Third parties

Procrastop integrates no third party analytics, advertising or tracking services, so there is no third party with whom the app shares your data and nothing to pass on. The only companies involved at all are:

  • Apple, which distributes the app, processes purchases and tips, and provides the notification, alarm and rating features the app uses on your device. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
  • Whoever you choose, if you export your list or send a support email. That is your decision each time, and the app never sends anything on its own.

This website

This site is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives the technical information your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address and the page you asked for, and handles it under GitHub's own privacy statement. The site itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any other domain.

Children

Procrastop is a general audience to-do list. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your data stays on your iPhone for as long as the app is installed. There is no server-side copy and no retention period on the developer's side, because the developer never receives it.

  • Delete one task. Swipe the row left, tap the ellipsis to open the task, scroll down and tap Delete Task. It is removed immediately and cannot be restored.
  • Delete the tasks you have finished. Settings, Task Management, Procrastopped Tasks. Swipe one left to delete it, or tap Clear to remove all of them at once.
  • Delete everything. Press and hold the Procrastop icon on your Home Screen, choose Remove App, then Delete App. That removes every task, every setting and every reminder or alarm the app had scheduled.

Because nothing was ever uploaded, there is no copy elsewhere for the developer to erase and no deletion request you need to send. If you would still like confirmation of that in writing, write to the address below.

Two things sit outside the app's control. If you have an iCloud or computer backup of your iPhone, that backup may still contain the app's data until it is replaced or deleted in your iOS or iCloud settings. The same applies to any export file you emailed to yourself.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw notification or alarm permission at any time in the iOS Settings app, and the app keeps working without them. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you. In Procrastop's case those rights are exercised directly on the device: your data is already in your hands, the Export feature produces a copy of it, and deleting the app erases it. If you believe there is something held about you that this policy does not account for, write to the address below and it will be dealt with.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
